**Stamina** is a regenerating resource which can be spent to [[universaltech:dash]], [[universaltech:Air Jump]] and [[universaltech:Dash Jump]].
Each character will start off with a set number of stamina bars; how many bars you have depends on the character you have picked.
You can increase the amount of stamina bars you have by
* Buying items from the shop that have the //+Stamina// stat on them
* Obtaining the Movement [[universaltech:runes|rune]] on the bridge between the side and middle lanes.
* The Movement rune gives you +2 extra stamina, and lasts for 160 seconds.
All but six characters have three base stamina bars
* Holliday, McGinnis and Vindicta have two;
* Grey Talon, Ivy and Vyper have four.

===== Stamina Recovery =====
At the start of the game, stamina bars take five seconds to regenerate/recover. This recovery time can be reduced by
* Buying items that have the //+Stamina Recovery// stat
* Picking up the Movement Rune on the bridge between the side and middle lanes.
* The Movement rune gives you +20% to +50% (depending on time) stamina recovery and lasts for 160 seconds.
There are other ways of quickly regenerating stamina, namely abusing the transit lines to refund stamina that has not been spent, granting you +1 stamina. For further information, see [[universaltech:transit lines#stamina_refunds|Stamina Refunds]].
