**Stand Cancelling**((AKA SC)) is the act of cancelling a crouched dash by standing up. After you stand up, you are fully actionable.

To execute a Stand Cancel, hold duck then dash. During the dash, let go of the duck key. You will cancel the dash short and stand up. You can also execute a Stand Cancel by binding either mouse wheel up or down to crouch and scrolling up or down when you want to Stand Cancel (this allows you to Stand Cancel without holding down duck beforehand)

Stand Cancelling costs one bar of [[universaltech:stamina]].
After a Stand Cancel, you can do various other actions. You can
  * [[universaltech:dashing|Dash]] forwards again,  
  * [[universaltech:jumping|Jump / Double Jump]],
  * Dash in __any direction__,
  * Jump and Air Dash,
  * [[universaltech:dashjumping|Dash Jump]],
  * [[universaltech:instantairdash|Instant Air Dash]],
  * Do another Stand Cancel, or…
  * …do nothing

The true utility of Stand Cancel is that you can do any of these options. It’s also simple to execute and better than regular dashing. This makes Stand Cancel a very powerful option.

Stand Cancelling can allow you to dash quickly in rapid succession and change directions unpredictably.

To execute, hold duck during a dash, then at any time during the dash, let go. You should return to a standing position, where you are fully actionable. You can also execute by binding duck to the mouse wheel and scrolling up or down in the middle of a dash.
