Stamina is a regenerating resource which can be spent to dash, Air Jump and Dash Jump. Each character will start off with a set number of stamina bars; how many bars you have depends on the character you have picked.

For most characters, the time taken to recover one stamina bar is five seconds. The one exception to this is Kelvin, who takes six seconds to recover one bar of stamina.
There are other ways of quickly regenerating stamina, namely abusing the transit lines to refund stamina that has not been spent, granting you +1 stamina. For further information, see Stamina Refunds.
