Rescue Beam is a Vitality item that costs 3,000. The active ability of Rescue Beam tethers you to an ally. While you are tethered, you heal one ally for 26% of their maximum health. While you are healing, you can pull your ally towards yourself.
The range of Rescue Beam is a base of 34 meters in a radius around you. When casting, you will tether and heal your target for 26% of their maximum health over the course of 2.5 seconds. At any time during the duration of Rescue Beam, you have the option to pull your target towards you.
During Rescue Beam, you are unable to dash, jump, use other active items or use any ability that isn’t able to be Heavy Melee Cancelled.
Rescue Beam’s range can be extended with items with the +Ability Range statistic. The most range you can get is 52 metres.
When you click the button to pull a target, they will be pulled towards you, eventually ending up next to you in the air. You cannot hold the button to pull them a variable distance; you always pull them for the full amount unless cancelled. At any time during Rescue Beam (including the pull), you can cancel it.
A target can only be pulled once per Rescue Beam.
At any range, Rescue Beam will fully pull your target towards you in one second. To achieve this, the further you are, the faster Rescue Beam will pull you.
The speed that Rescue Beam pulls targets is typically fastest at the start. The peak speed is also dependent on distance from the puller; the further you go, the faster your peak speed will be. At the max range of 34 metres, the peak speed is ~1700 u/s. This peak speed is only maintained for a fraction of a second. The target will decelerate in speed until next to the puller.
